Home learning ideas (and support) from Mr Beesley
From time to time I will be adding suggestions and ideas for keeping children busy whilst the school is closed. If you have any questions or require any support do text on 07495158404. If you have any pictures to send us to show us how your child is keeping busy do text them over and we will display them in our gallery (with your permission).
I have spoken to a number of parents/carers who have told me they are struggling to get their children to work at home. The priority has to be on addressing their wellbeing needs. So my suggestion is that they engage in activities that they really enjoy. For example:
Play in the garden.
Play with their toys.
Play board/card games.
Help make food/bake a cake.
Remain active (do try 'PE with Joe Wicks').
Watch some television.
Play on their devices (as long as this isn't for too long).
If they are happy and relaxed they are more likely to then complete some work with you. However, I do not expect pupils to be completing a huge amount from home. This is a difficult time for us all and we really don't want to 'stress them out' or make them anxious. If you would like to discuss this in more detail get in touch.

A brand new book about the Coronavirus
There is a fab new book (released today) about the Coronavirus. It is written by Elizabeth Jenner, Kate Wilson and Nia Roberts. It is illustrated by Axel Scheffler. I've just read through this and fully intend on reading it with my own children over the next couple of days. Let me know what you think...
During this difficult time it is really important that children sleep well. Good sleep is ALWAYS vitally important for your child's physical and mental wellbeing. If you feel this is something you need support with, take a look at the weblinks and resources below.
Attached is a blank skateboard for pupils to design, add colour etc. I would LOVE to see your designs so please send some pictures through.

If you like football I have added some fantastic football related colouring activities. These were put together by 'Grassroots Football' - many thanks. Plase send your pictures through. I would love to display them in our gallery...
